From apply to first shift
Do I keep ownership of my vehicle?+
Yes. Your car remains yours. There is no vehicle handover or transfer. Odysse becomes your employer while you use your vehicle for work.
What kind of vehicle do I need?+
You need a fully electric vehicle with a valid TfL Private Hire Vehicle licence and valid private hire insurance.
Is this self-employed or PAYE?+
This is PAYE employment, not self-employed gig work. Odysse provides the employment structure, guaranteed pay, and operational support.
What costs does Odysse cover?+
Approved work-related costs are covered, including charging, congestion charge, airport fees, and other agreed operating expenses.
Am I paid only when I have passengers?+
No. You are paid for every hour you are online during your scheduled shift, whether with a passenger or not.
Can I choose my own hours?+
Your schedule is discussed and agreed in advance. This is a structured full-time role, which is what allows Odysse to guarantee pay.
Will my vehicle be checked?+
Yes. Your vehicle is assessed as part of the application process to confirm it meets the role and operational requirements.
How quickly will I hear back?+
We aim to respond to suitable applicants quickly. If shortlisted, we will arrange a short call and explain the full offer before any commitment.
